COMSEC highlights opportunities in backup power space

The Executive Director of COMSEC Technology Solutions, Boaz Alon has stressed the critical need for addressing Ghana’s energy sector challenges, through backup power solutions.

Speaking at during a press conference in Accra marking COMSEC Technology Solutions’ 10th anniversary, he stressed the role of reliable backup power in mitigating the impact of frequent grid failures.

Mr. Alon explained that the country’s energy sector faces significant gaps in backup power infrastructure, exacerbating the severity of power crises when the national grid experiences disruptions. He asserted that investing in reliable backup power systems could substantially bolster the country’s economy.

“There is a gap in the power backup industry for Ghana’s energy sector, making power crisis severe anytime the national grid goes off,” he noted, adding that the energy sector will receive a major boost that will help the economy once there is a reliable backup power system for the country.

Furthermore, Alon outlined COMSEC Technology Solutions’ strategic objectives, underscoring the importance of empowering Ghanaian engineers with exposure to cutting-edge technologies from international partners. He cited the company’s commitment to continuously upgrading the product knowledge of local engineers through training sessions with international partners.

In addition to enhancing backup power capabilities, COMSEC Technology Solutions unveiled its latest security innovation: Top Technology Security Control Room services. These state-of-the-art solutions offer superior security measures for organizations and individuals, significantly reducing theft and enhancing safety.

Mr. Alon highlighted the successful deployment of these security solutions in major banks and industries, leading to a significant reduction in theft cases and safety concerns among customers.

Moreover, the Executive Director emphasized his outfit’s contributions to the country’s economy through job creation, fostering an innovative entrepreneurial culture, and delivering advanced security services.

“We have a team of Ghanaian engineers who do all the troubleshooting and repair work in our technical laboratory. The company continues to send engineers to our international partners to upgrade their product knowledge and position them to face new product developments,” he noted.

He reiterated the company’s commitment to driving progress in energy, communications, and security systems, positioning itself as a catalyst for positive change in Ghana’s infrastructure and technology landscape.
