The Business and Financial Times (B&FT), Africa’s leading provider of business information, and StarLife Assurance Company Limited – a leading life insurer – have renewed their commitment toward deepening existing partnerships and friendship between them.
This came to light during a courtesy call by the management of the B&FT on leadership of the StarLife Assurance in Accra. At the meeting, the two firms underscored the need to collectively explore areas of mutual interests and benefits going forward.
In the course of an engaging discussion encompassing a range of relevant subjects such as economic fluctuations, regulatory updates, market dynamics and possible areas of collaboration, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of B&FT, Dr. Godwin Acquaye, who led the delegation, thanked StarLife for the consistent support and collaboration, stressing the value of fostering robust commercial connections, particularly in light of the arduous economic circumstances.
“In any pursuit, but particularly in business, relationships are crucial. We are here to say thank you for your support. We report a lot on insurance so if there is anything that we need to do in terms of supporting your company, we are ever-ready to assist you in that regard. Our newspaper and other platforms are there to support businesses because if businesses grow, we also grow,” he said.
Furthermore, he said that with a positive future outlook, the company has not only weathered the COVID-19 pandemic storm, but continues to build resilience in the face of global economic challenges.
Rhoda Mensah Ankrah, Human Resource Manager at B&FT, briefed the StarLife team on some of the activities scheduled for the year, including the annual insurance survey and special publication, Ghana Economic Forum and CEOs Breakfast Series, among others.
In keeping with the paper’s mission to disseminate financial information, she pointed out that such initiatives are intended to strengthen collaboration with key partners while shaping the future of the economy.
The CEO of StarLife Assurance, Kakra Duffuor-Nyarko, on his part, acknowledged the value of strong relationships and reaffirmed her company’s commitment to working with the B&FT.
“As testament to our commitment, last year we placed quite a number of businesses and stories with your newspaper. We also subscribed to your electronic version for our team. So, we are definitely committed to our partnership with you.
“We have a lot of plans this year and most of it would involve you as well, so you can rest assured of our commitment .… We do not take your visit for granted. For a whole B&FT to visit us, I think that we are quite honoured,” she noted.
