Ghanaians are expected to benefit from a huge study abroad programme as TIES Global collaborates with the Periyar African Foundation (PAF) to organise an educational fair in Ghana on February 8 and February 9, 2024.

The ‘Study in India Education Fair’ will link prospective students to hundreds of universities and colleges as well as scores of funding; and is scheduled to take place at the Lancaster Kumasi City Hotel, Kumasi on February 8, followed by another one in Accra at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel on February 9.

With support from the High Commission of India in Ghana, the fair, among other things, aims to provide detailed information on India’s burgeoning higher education system and how it can benefit Ghanaian students wishing to study in India.

The TIES Global–Study in India Education Fair will allow Ghanaian students to interact with a large number of leading universities and learn more about higher education opportunities in India, all in a single place.

Participating institutions include Anna University, Acharya Institutions, Christ University, C.V.Raman Global University, Manav Rachna University, PIMPRI Chinchwad University, SRM Institute of Science & Technology, SRM University -AP, Vignan University, Vishwakarma University.

India ranks among the top five destinations for African students travelling abroad for higher education.

According to the African Students Association in India, around 25,000 African students currently study in 500 public and private universities across India. The numbers will likely skyrocket with increased cooperation between India and Africa and the growing interest of African students in studying in India.
