MTN assures upstream petroleum industry of an improved network at Jubilee Field

MTN Ghana has assured workers in the upstream petroleum industry that it will improve its network connectivity at the Jubilee Fields.

This, according to the company will enable those working offshore to communicate effectively, with family, friends loved ones, get on social media among others.

Benedict Bentil, Senior Manager for Enterprise, Marketing and Portfolio Management said this at the 2023 Local Content Conference and Exhibition Networking Session, dubbed “Executive Connect” in Takoradi.

“This is the first time we are partnering with the Petroleum Commission (PC) for this year’s Local Content Conference and Exhibition and we are grateful for the opportunity,” he said.

He explained that the partnership is important because the oil and gas industry is investing in local content and helping indigenous Ghanaian businesses to grow and expand.

“The fact that those in the oil and gas industry is investing in local content and helping to grow Ghanaian talent in the country is commendable and I can assure you that this partnership will continue into the future” he said.

He mentioned that MTN intends to drive innovative technology across Africa and Ghana adding “So this is the right time to partner with those in the upstream sector and find out what their needs are so can be serve them better”.

“We, at MTN believes the upstream sector has constantly been adopting innovative technologies and producing higher standards for their industry” he added.
