MTN Ghana has presented a cheque for GH¢ 10,000, Airtime worth GH¢1000 and drink hamper to support the celebration of Eluo Festival at Sefwi Wiawso in the Western North Region.
At a brief ceremony, Prince Owusu Nyarko, Senior Manager – South West Business of MTN, said: “As a friend of the traditional area, we have come to reaffirm our relationship and lend our support to the people of Sewfi Wiawso as we have done in the past. Today, we have come to support the traditional council in revamping their cultural heritage after the devasting effect of COVID-19.”
He said MTN believes that support to various traditional areas will help promote development in the communities. “This is why we continue to support over 40 traditional councils across the country.”
To provide a distinct customer experience during the celebration, Mr. Nyarko said MTN will set up experience centres at vantage points. In view of the just-ended SIM registrations, MTN will also help customers to reconnect their SIM with the Ghana Card and register those who need to do so.
“We hope that through this festival, we will be able to strengthen our relationship with our customers in this area and help resolve some of the customer issues they have. In addition, we seek an opportunity to provide some education on Momo fraud. We all must help educate our cherished customers on the benefits of keeping their phones and wallets safe,” he added.
Chief of the area, Nana Ainoo Kwagyan III, was thankful to MTN for their continued support over the years during Eluo Festival.
