Trailblazers Ghana, in collaboration with other organisations, has extended support to Gomoa Buduatta Basic School by donating various items.
The partner organisations include YPO Ghana Chapter, Fairway Ghana, Piya Foods, Integrated Legal Consult, Cupcake Boutique and Sumps Stationery. The items – such as stationery, clothes, shoes and other essential – were presented to the school located in Gomoa Potsin, Central Region.
Trailblazers Ghana is a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving and empowering women and children in rural and underprivileged communities.
Administrator of Trailblazers Ghana, Gifty Takyi, mentioned that the donation’s purpose is to lend a helping hand to the schoolchildren. She emphasised that it is an act of goodwill and a sincere effort to make a significant difference in the lives of these underprivileged pupils.
She explained that during a previous visit to the school earlier this year, the Trailblazers team discovered numerous challenges faced by both students and teachers. The challenges included dilapidated classrooms, lack of basic supplies and a general sense of hopelessness.
Recognising the urgent need for intervention, the donors immediately came together to provide support and quickly address the school’s challenges.
Festus Adoboah, Assistant Headmaster-Gomoa Buduatta D/A Basic School, expressed gratitude to Trailblazers for coming to the school’s aid. He commended the organisation for providing a large signpost which to him symbolises renewed pride and identity for the school.
Apart from the donation, donors also provided a lighting system and wire mesh to be fitted on the school’s windows.
Mr. Adoboah stated that these actions have reignited hope and a sense of purpose among the school community, guiding them toward a brighter future.
