ASA Savings and Loans through its Accra North Division, has supported parents and guardians with a scholarship package totalling GH¢16,000.00 to support the education of their wards for the 2023/2024 academic year.
The beneficiaries, who are brilliant but needy students were selected from communities such as Awoshie, Chantan, Lapaz, Abeka and Atico.
The category, ranged from the Primary, Juniour and Senior High Schools as well as Tertiary level.
Each of the beneficiary received a cheque for GH¢800.00.
The Divisional Manageress, Madam Joana Odei-Larbi, and the Area manageress, Madam Zalia Alhassan, presenting the cheques to the parents on behalf of the students, said this forms part of the company’s corporate social responsibility, and reiterated the company’s commitment to given back to society.
Mr. Richard Nartey, Corporate Social Responsibility Manager of ASA Savings and Loans Limited said “this activity is going to be conducted across all parts of the country where the company operate”.
Henrietta Cann Esaaba, a mother of a beneficiary parents was grateful to the company for the support adding that; “this support is timely”.
She expressed hope that the scholarship package will encourage the students to take their studies seriously to achieve their future goals.
