ASA Savings and Loans Limited, through the Madina branch, has donated items worth thousands of cedis to support Pantang Psychiatric Hospital.

The items donated include three sets of digital pressure monitors, five pieces of one-and-half bed size mattresses with Mackintosh covers, five sets of bedsheets, five packs of surgical gloves, two packs of A4 sheets, three gallons of disinfectant as well as three gallons of detergent.

Madam Gloria Lasisi, Senior Nursing Officer at the facility, said the hospital – which lies in the Ga East Municipality – provides services to psychiatric and medical out-patients as well as psychiatric in-patients.

“As a facility, we have deficiency in a lot of equipment to enable us deliver services efficiently. We reached out to ASA and thankfully, they came to our aid. We hope other benevolent individuals and organisations will emulate this assistance and do same to help improve on healthcare delivery nationwide,” she added.

Madam Patience Abla Nsantimba, Deputy Director of Nursing Services at the Pantang Psychiatric Hospital, was grateful to the financial institution for the kind gesture and prayed for more support in the near future.

Mr. Godson Adzafi, Area Manager of ASA, under whose jurisdiction the hospital lies, assured the staff and clients of the facility their continued support as this forms part of the company’s corporate social responsibility.

Mr. Richard Nartey, CSR Manager of the company, admonished the management of the facility to put the items to good use.
