Collaboration key to digital transformation – Huawei

The President of Huawei’s Enterprise Business Group for sub-Saharan Africa, Victor Guo, has called for more collaborative efforts to accelerate and deepen Ghana’s digital transformation drive.

This, he said, will promote digital inclusion as well as strengthen the local digital entrepreneurship ecosystem. Mr. Guo said this at the 2023 Huawei Ghana Channel Summit in Accra.

“We’ll, therefore, continuously invest enormously in African territory and closely work with our partners to create value for industry customers. Ghana is a country full of talented people, and one of the fastest growing economies not only in Africa, but in the world. And one of my missions is to bring all Ghanaians the world’s latest digital solution and infrastructure,” he stated.

Touching on the summit, he said the event was a “unique milestone” for the company to mark its collaboration, celebrate its achievements, and share its insights and innovations for the next five years.

“And also, a great opportunity to build new connections, exchange new ideas, and strengthen our relationship,” Mr. Guo said.

Huawei, according to him, lives by the four core values: customer-centric, inspire dedication, perseverance and glow by reflection; and to achieve those they need their partners. “We believe with both forces together, we will achieve our goal.”

Currently, Huawei has created a pool of 35,000 partners distributed into eight categories globally, namely sales partners, solution development service, talent alliance, investment and financing partners, industry partners, and consulting.

Over 2300 of those are in sub-Saharan Africa.

Backbone of Huawei

On his part, the Managing Director of Huawei Ghana, Tommy Liang, commended the channel partners for continuously supporting the company’s decade-long operations in the country.

“In today’s rapidly evolving technological landscape, collaboration and cooperation have become vital for success in any field. Huawei shares in this, as our channel partners play a crucial role in our business ecosystem.

“Our channel partners have proven to be the backbone of our distribution network, helping us bring innovative solutions and cutting-edge technologies to customers across the country,” stated Mr. Liang.

Partners are extension of Huawei

He added that the company views its partners as an extension of “our own team and that goes beyond mere transactions”.

“It is built on trust, transparency and a shared commitment to excellence. This is why we provide our partners with comprehensive support – including training, technical expertise, marketing resources, and access to our extensive product portfolio,” he stated.

“We believe that by empowering our partners with the necessary tools and knowledge, we enable them to better serve their customers and drive business growth. We also prioritise effective communication and engagement by regularly engaging with our partners through various means, including partner summits, workshops, and training programmes. These platforms provide opportunities for knowledge sharing, networking, and building strong relationships – bringing us closer to solutions that address the specific needs of customers,” Mr. Liang stressed.
