Bulk Ship and Trade Limited (BSTL), a fully Ghanaian-owned bulk distribution agency company in the oil and gas industry licensed by the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority, has achieved a remarkable milestone with the opening of a new office within the TDC Towers in Tema, in the Greater Accra Region.
The opening ceremony was attended by dignitaries, including the company’s Executive Director, Dzifa French Cudjoe, Theodoros Wulff and Samuel Kossi Gnahoui.
During the event, the Group Senior Director, Kwabena Agyei-Boahene, highlighted the company’s crucial role in handling the deliveries of petroleum products such as liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), Ultra-Low sulfur diesel (ULSD), aviation turbine kerosene (ATK) and gasoline into Ghana through direct dealings with principals and vessel owners. BSTL handles over 50 vessels annually through Tema and Takoradi ports, demonstrating the company’s remarkable growth and continued commitment to providing quality services in bulk petroleum handling, dry bulk cargo handling, and in liner vessels.
The new office, which features a very high radio frequency room (VHF) and designated workstations for key personnel, is a testament to the company’s growth over the years. Eric Kennedy Gogovi, the Assistant Shipping Operations Manager of BSTL, expressed the company’s dedication to providing excellent service to its current and new clients.
Millicent Orhin, the deputy Director-Human Resources, underscored the company’s resilience in navigating the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic through effective implementation of safety protocols. She noted that the company ensured staff were protected while maintaining flexible working schedules and arrangements for remote work.
The ceremony also included a moment of silence in honor of Patrick Quarcoo, a pioneer of BSTL whose significant contribution to the company was recognized.
BSTL represents international clientele at Tema and Takoradi ports and is also represented in key ports along the coast of West Africa. The company’s milestone achievement highlights its continued growth and dedication to providing excellent services in the oil and gas industry.
