MTN donate items toward Eid ul Fitr celebration in the Western Region

MTN Ghana has presented items such as bags of rice, packs of mineral water, packs of soft drinks a ram as well as Airtime totaling GHc10,000 to the Western Regional Muslim Community at Sekondi.

The presentation, which is an annual affair is to support the celebration of Eidul Fitr. According to the company supporting communities is an essential part of its corporate responsibility.

David Woase, Acting Senior Manager for South West Business at MTN Ghana said the company, recognizes the important role that the Muslim community plays in Ghana.

“We are committed to supporting you in meaningful ways. Ramadan is a time of joy and celebration, and we are privileged to be part of this special occasion” he said.

He extended a warm welcome to the new Chief Imam. “We look forward to working and supporting him in his efforts to continue the great work of the late Chief Imam. We believe that his leadership will inspire the Muslim community in Western Region and beyond”.

“Let us continue to uphold the teachings and legacy of the late Chief Imam as we welcome the new Imam and work towards building a brighter future for all” he added.

The new Western Regional Chief Imam, Ustaz Zulkifli Abdul-Waahid was grateful for MTN’s continued support over the years.

“We pray Allah continue to bless you abundantly and prayed that the relationship with the Muslim community will be solidify”, he added.
