ASA Savings and Loans organizes free health screening

ASA Savings and Loans Limited, has extended its annual health screening exercise for customers and residents at the Kwesimintsim Business Centre (BC), a suburb within the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis.

The screening covered malaria, blood pressure, sugar level among others.

Mrs. Helena Gaisie, Head of the Medical Team for the screening mentioned that the most occurring ailments were malaria and urinary tract infection.

On malaria, she advised those who tested positive to keep their environment clean at all times and sleep in Insecticide Treated Nets.

Also, she urged individuals diagnosed of urinary tract infection to drink enough fluids,exercise regularly,avoid alcohol intake as well as spicy foods among others.

She encouraged all to visit the clinic when they are ill so they will be treated early.

Emmanson Amaning, Manager of ASA Savings Loans Ltd, Kwesimintsim Business Centre said the company, is committed to ensuring that customers enjoy quality healthcare.

Also, he said the screening is to help those who are not able to often visit the hospital to check on their health status. “This, is part of our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to the people and customers in the areas that we serve”.

He mentioned that  the company, provides credit facilities to women who are into small and medium enterprises to expand their businesses.

“Healthy minds live in a healthy body; therefore, we believe if our clients are healthy, they can go about their daily work to be able to repay their loans on time for others to benefits” he added.
