Ashfoam, hotels association introduce loyalty card


Ashfoam Ghana, a leading producer and distributor of mattresses, in partnership with the Ghana Hotels Association (GHA), has introduced a loyalty card that will aid hotels in purchasing the former’s products at discounted prices.

The card, which was launched in Accra, is aimed at establishing a practical framework for the development of stronger business relations between the two parties, offering members of GHA discount opportunities and other special benefits.

The initiative is also intended to protect the interest of Ashfoam in dealing with only members in good standing with the GHA and to also create the right image for the association.

As part of the collaboration, members of the GHA who are in good standing are expected to purchase Ashfoam products at discounted rates across the country.

General Manager of Ashfoam Ghana, George Massih, expressed his excitement about the partnership, saying it will deepen the relationship between the two parties.

‘‘Ashfoam has evolved from just doing mattresses to actual finishing and we find no better way than to partner with the GHA in growing our vision. The association has been a client of Ashfoam in almost 100 percent of what we produce. They have over the years helped us to improve, innovate and diversify to the current Ashfoam that we see and we hope to work with them into the future.

“We believe that there is more to be done together as it starts today with this launching to further enhance our working relationship. This loyalty card we believe is a win-win situation for all of us and going forward it’s going to create growth for our business and our partners in the hotel business as well,” he said.

Mr. Massih mentioned that since the parties signed a memorandum of understanding in 2018, the partnership has always been mutually beneficial.

President of the GHA, Dr. Edward Ackah-Nyamike, on his part, expressed delight about the partnership with Ashfoam and charge other organisations to emulate the same to promote the hospitality and tourism industry.

“In 2018, when I took over from my predecessor, my management team was aware of the relationship that existed between GHA and Ashfoam and we took it a step further in signing an MoU. In fact, my understanding that time was that they needed time to cement and solidify the relationship because we all needed to benefit from it and indeed, they have done just that.

“Several organisations come for partnership arrangements almost on daily basis but none of them are ready to go through that process of merging the relationship; they are in a hurry to benefit from it but Ashfoam has had the patience to nurture the relationship to bring it this far and I see the loyalty card as a further demonstration of that strong relationship that we are going to have,” he stressed.

The loyalty card covers a wide range of products from Ashfoam, including mattresses, pillows, pillow covers, linen, and furniture based on the standards of the Ghana Hotels Association.

The card has a QR code that provides information on products, prices, discounts and locations of showrooms across the country. The loyalty card can be accessed through the GHA and have a yearly renewal through the same process.
