Reliability is high-value currency for business longevity – Mikaddo Holdings CEO

The Chief Executive Officer of Mikaddo Holdings, Dr. Michael Agyekum Addo, has urged businesses to be steadfast and remain reliable to stay competitive even in the face of economic difficulties. “One must be resilient in the midst of challenges, and every business or start-up must know reliability is a high-value currency that ensures longevity in business,” he said.

Dr. Agyekum Addo said this at Mikaddo Holdings’ ‘Marketing with Influencers’ conference aimed at training entrepreneurs and educating businesses and start-ups to explore clear road maps to navigate the market. He also underscored the need for businesses to be solution-oriented and take advantage of current technological trends and marketing to increase their profitability. He further encouraged participants not to limit themselves but make efforts to be the best in their various sectors.

For his part, the CEO of Community and Entrepreneurial Development Initiative (CEDI Ghana), Kingsley Kwaku Pinkrah, advised upcoming businesses especially start-ups to strive for outstanding business ideas – adding that it will determine how much support they receive to excel. “If you have a very great business idea, a lot of people will be interested in supporting you; and that will be an easy way to raise funds for your business,” he said.

The award-winning blogger Augustus Koranteng Kyei, popularly known as Kobby Kyei, reiterated the need to challenge the status quo in societ – emphasising that businesses must use social media positively to promote their businesses. He also encouraged participants not to be carried away by offers that go against their values and taint their integrity.

Legendary Ghanaian female highlife singer Akosua Adjepong also told participants that their success depends largely on them appreciating their gifts, staying true to themselves and becoming generational thinkers, as this will enable them to make insightful impacts in their respective fields of endeavour.

“It is important that the entrepreneurs among us be guided by what I believe entrepreneurship means; thus ‘encourage, new, trust, ready, experience, preparation and passion, respect, effective, nice, ensure, unique, responsible, skills and strength, humility, ideas and patience,” she added.

The speakers acknowledged that becoming a successful entrepreneur takes a combination of knowledge, strategy, discipline, experience and other attributes that go beyond what is taught in the classroom.
