Ghana’s premier 5-star hotel, Labadi Beach Hotel, has presented a GH¢10million dividend cheque for the year 2021 to its sole shareholder, the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT), at a ceremony in Accra.

This achievement, according to the hotel, is unprecedented in the company’s history.

Commenting on the feat, Ag. Board Chair of the hotel, Prof. Douglas Boateng: said: “We owe this achievement to the staff of Labadi Beach Hotel. Despite all the challenges they were able to deliver customer-driven service quality, encouraging both local and international clients to patronise the hotel”.

Speaking to media during the presentation, Ag. Mr. Eduaful stressed that despite the current global economic and financial challenges occasioned by the coronavirus pandemic – and with competition becoming fierce, Labadi Beach Hotel as part of its growth and expansion plans is to invest in the human capital so they are enabled for instant responsiveness to the demands of today’s guests.

“As we honour our obligation of declaring dividends to the shareholder today, it is important to acknowledge the overwhelming support and patronage of our valued customers who continue to make us number-one; and for this we owe a great deal of gratitude,” he emphasised.

Since its inception in 1991 the hotel has led Ghana’s hospitality industry, providing exceptional services to its cherished guests and thus contributing immensely to the Tourism sector; and by extension the economy of Ghana.

The hotel started with 104 rooms in 1991 but now boasts 164 – including 2 Presidential Suites, 4 Executive Suites, 4 Superior Suites, 5 Bars, 2 restaurants, a 900-seat multi-purpose conference and banqueting facility, a Spa with plunge pool, a well-equipped Gym, a Lagoon for fishing, and 2 plush Leisure and lap pools on a sprawling, tropical landscaped garden overlooking the natural Maale Lagoon.

The emergence of this iconic hotel has endeared many guests – including the British monarchy, heads of state, prime ministers and very important personalities – who continue to make Labadi Beach Hotel their preferred resort for business and leisure activities.
