MINDSET with Gambrah Sampeney Kwabena Adjei: Nature of human mindset

According to news report, President Trump used derogatory words to describe a certain group of people who originate from certain parts of the world and who happen to have found themselves in his beloved country, the United States of America, during his tenure.

The intriguing aspect is not the derogatory word he issued, but how some of us took to social media to accept what he says and took pictures that seek to validate such an assertion.

Have you ever wondered why we are so quick to suspect the negative aspect of issues of ourselves, society and country as a perspective of assessment?

Have you ever wondered why we are so quick to critique wrongly?

Have you ever wondered why we are so quick to always tag people with negative slander?

Have you ever wondered why we are so quick to pull each other down?

Have you ever wondered why we are so quick to accept a wrong verdict on issues of ourselves, society and country?

In fact, there is this phrase that is unconsciously and commonly used to, at least, lash out at someone; and it goes like this: “It doesn’t matter all the good deeds you have done, one wrong deed wipes them off!”

What a mindset!

Now the answer is very simple and it is because THE HUMAN NATURE LOVES TO BE CONDEMNED.

You might not believe so but it is the fact.

I am pretty sure that you might have noticed or heard a person slur at some one being praised a lot with comments like you never know; probably he has something under wraps which is so unworthy of her or him so stop all these praises!

We never seem to applaud and cherish others when they seem to be forging and working to improve our daily lives and it is because of such mindsets.

We are not able to understand the global concepts of issues and how they can directly or inversely pose a hurdle on our path to progress, yet we turn to agree with no generational introspective analysis to it.

Global concepts might look so far removed, yet it is operating on some laws of nature; LAW OF ATTRACTION, LAW OF DIMINISHING RETURNS, LAW OF REPETITION and so on.

Just imagine if President Trump had said these places were so wonderful and in they present great business opportunities; would it have created such a buzz? And if it did, would it have resonated with us?

Simply put: all the things we hear around as news operate on some of these laws. So if President Trump uses a derogatory remark and we don’t understand how to handle it, it can chance upon some of these laws to run with. And here is a person who really understands the power of media and how its concepts operate.

One may ask: ‘What is the point of all this?’

The point is the human nature loves to be condemned unless you make a choice, a conscious and deliberate effort to always hype and analyse the good and positive angles to all issues no matter what. Mind you, what you are used to (expose to) will always resonates with you.

In every issue lies an awesome opportunity to help improve lives daily.
