PURC assures of measures to address challenges with ECG’s ECash and PNS Metering Systems

The Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) has said it is closely monitoring and working with the Electricity Company Of Ghana (ECG) to resolve challenges with the latter’s ECash and PNS Metering Systems.

In a release on Thursday, September 29, 2022 it said the Commission is closely monitoring the situation and in full discussions with the service provider to address the issue.

“The Public Utilities Regulatory Commission (PURC) has noticed with concern, challenges experienced in vending, by consumers on ECash and PNS Metering Systems of the Electricity Company of Ghana,”  the statement signed by its Executive Secretary, Dr. Ishmael Ackah, said.

It added that: “The Commission wishes to assure all affected customers of its commitment to ensuring the delivery of a safe and reliable utility service provision and to have the issue resolved quickly.”

The PURC is the utilities regulator in the country.
