After a year of piloting the Health Management System (HMS), the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority hospital in Takoradi has gone paperless.
The GPHA hospital has been positioned as the preferred Health facility offering specialized health services needs within the Sekondi/Takoradi Metropolis.
The Health Management System (HMS) has been part of the GPHA managements’ strategic plan to put the health facility further as a second to none health delivering service.
The Human Resource Manager at the Port of Takoradi, Peter Amoo-Bediako at a ceremony said the GPHA hospital boasts of qualified health personnel in addition to the hospital being equipped with specialized medical equipment to provide quality healthcare services.
The Head of Health Services, Dr. George Tawiah Tidakbi said the introduction of the HMS paperless system will help reduce material cost and improve turn-around-time for clientele.
The Hospital Administrator, Dr. Ellen Naa Tettey said the HMS paperless system will help the hospital perform efficiently.
According to Dr. Tettey this fact is attested to by clients who have praised how streamlined the hospital’s services have become.
Selected personnel in the various sections of the hospital who were taken through skill training to be abreast with the HMS paperless system were awarded for their outstanding performance throughout the training period.
