The Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana will host the 9th edition of the Made-in-Ghana Awards Gala Dinner & Exhibition 2022 to honour and unveil the Top 50 of Ghana’s most celebrated, valuable and Iconic brands with the title Top 50 Made-in Ghana Iconic Brands 2022 in all sectors of the economy on the theme ‘Ghana Beyond Imports’ – and also launch the Buy-Eat-Drink Ghana Campaign with the view to create jobs and industrialise our economy. Fifty most iconic Made-in-Ghana Brands will also be unveilled. The event is scheduled for Friday, September 23, 2022 at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel.

The Top 50 Made in Ghana Iconic brands 2022 is a campaign that seeks the pride of indigenous and most-celebrated iconic manufacturing and service industries to create awareness; and also to promote and market quality manufactured products and service industries which have exhibited excellence in manufacturing practices and standards in Ghana.  In total, 150 influential manufacturing CEOs, business executives, entrepreneurs and the diplomat corps in Ghana will be invited to find out more about how they can best partner government in transformational economic development and job creation, manufacturing and investment opportunities.

The economy of any nation grows rapidly when locally-made products are promoted through patronage first by its own people then through export. That is why the ‘B-E-D Ghana campaign’ and ‘Ghana beyond Imports’ will target audiences in all sectors of the economy to educate Ghanaians on the implications of preferences for foreign goods on the national economy; and encourage Ghanaians to take pride in our own products and services in an effort to reduce the cedi-depreciation and bulk dollar repatriation of profit.

The Iconic brand category is a tribute to honour and recognise manufacturing and service industries registered in Ghana which have played important roles in supporting the economy of Ghana over the past decades.
