MTN donates toward Kuntum Festival at Essikado

MTN Ghana has presented a cheque for GH¢10,000, Airtime worth GH¢1000, drink hampers and MTN souvenirs to the Essikado Traditional Council toward the celebration of this year’s Kuntum Festival.

“We have come to reaffirm our relationship and lend our support to the people of Essikado as we have done in the past years, and to back the traditional council in revamping their cultural heritage after the devasting effects of COVID-19,” said Prince Owusu Nyarko, Manager SouthWest Business District of MTN.

He stated that African culture and heritage is tied through the celebration of Traditional festivals and commercial activities. MTN believes that through these supports it will help promote development in the communities.

He expressed gratitude to the Omanhene and people of Essikado for their continuous support and loyalty to the MTN brand.

Nana Kobina Nketsia, Omanhene of Essikado Traditional Area, mentioned that MTN has over the years supported the celebration of Kuntum in the area.

He was grateful for the gesture and explained that the annual celebration is to remind the people of the good deeds and virtues their ancestors left behind, and the need to emulate them for a better society.
