ASA Savings and Loans Limited (Teshie Nungua Business Centre) has presented items to Teshie Children’s Home in Accra as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
The items include assorted drinks, bags of sachet water, bags of rice, cartons of Milo and milk, cooking oil, noodles, toiletries, diapers, sanitary pad, boxes of tomato paste, exercise books, among others.
Mr. Justice Korsah, Teshie Area Manager of ASA Savings and Loans, presenting the items, explained that: “ASA Savings and Loans is not only interested in making profit, but to give back to the less privilege in the communities in which we operate”.
This presentation, he said, is to put smile on the faces of these children. “We are committed to the growth and development of the people in our operational area, and we will continue to support our communities”.
Mrs. Janet Anyeley Parker, Manager of the Home, mentioned that the home has been in existence since 1995, and caters for 43 children between the ages of two to 18, as well as 98 widows and widowers.
According to her, the Home depends on support from corporate bodies, individuals, philanthropists, as well as the general public.
Therefore, she appealed to organisations, churches, women groups, as well as individuals to support the Teshie Children’s Home.
