GCB Bank PLC has hosted a special lunch for the winners of this year’s Fathers’ Day competition organised by the Bank on social media.

Winners present dined and shared their experiences and joy with the Management of the Bank.

On 4th June, 2022, GCB Bank launched a Father’s Day competition dubbed, “Papas Reward” on all of its social media channels. This competition was open to the bank’s customers across the country and received a lot of traffic on all the platforms. Winners across the regions were selected based on the criteria as communicated to participants. Accra recorded 13 winners and 7 Winners from the other regions, who will be hosted by their respective branch managers.

Winners were present with their fathers and other family members to celebrate the occasion and interact with Management and staff of GCB Bank. During the interactions, selected winners shared what really made their fathers their rockstars. They were very excited and expressed their appreciation to the Management of GCB Bank for organising such an event to make them feel a part of the GCB family.

The Head of Banking Operations, Mr Dominic Cobbinah, on behalf of Management, thanked all present for following the bank on social media and for participating in the competition. “It is our utmost desire to ensure as Ghana’s largest indigenous bank we remain your bank for life. We will continue to invest in Ghana to support the national economy to create and sustain more jobs”, Mr Cobbinah highlighted.

Mr. Cobbinah used the opportunity to outline a few of the projects and initiatives of the Bank and encouraged all present to be part of the growth process by giving feedback for the Bank to drive its agenda of becoming the dominant bank.

The Head of Corporate Affairs, Mr Kojo Kwarteng, also expressed Management’s appreciation to the winners and followers of the Bank for helping to shape the GCB agenda.

He urged Ghanaians to contribute to the development of Ghanaian industries and companies through patronage of products and services. Mr. Kwarteng reiterated GCB’s commitment to Ghana and Ghanaians in its 69 years of existence through creating opportunities for job creation, supporting government and national agenda.

Reverend Francis Gador of Christ Evangelical Mission, a customer and winner who spoke on behalf of the winners, expressed appreciation to God and Management of the Bank for hosting the lunch.

He described the programme as an opportunity to meet good friends and Management of the Bank to reflect on the way forward.

Reverend Gador resolved to pray for the Bank and to embark on a campaign to promote the good news about GCB in churches and communities.
