UBA Ghana has strengthened its position as a trade bank for Ghanaian businesses across Africa and the world. With presence in 20 countries in Africa and also in America, UK, Paris, and now Dubai, the bank has developed an effective system to ensure seamless trade businesses for our customers.

As the fastest growing bank by deposit, the bank is poised to increase its trade finance solutions to customers, increase business capacity, and improve their output and turnovers. Additionally, with the UBA working capital loan introduced for SMEs, small and medium enterprises are able to access funding without collateral to support trading activities.

The bank has also started advisory services through SME seminars for businesses to offer the needed assistance that can help them grow to become large corporates.



UBA has also developed a quick turnaround for the processing and issuance of guarantees i.e. Advanced Payment, Performance and Bid Bonds, also to support trading activities and contract negotiation for businesses. UBA Ghana offers a wide range of trade solutions including Letters of Credit, Documentary Collections, Open Account Payments, Invisible Payments for Services, and Regional Trade Services for both import and export businesses.

Customised remittance solutions that support businesses including Africash, UBA Connect and Afritade have been developed to facilitate regional trade. UBA Connect, additionally, is a service that enables all UBA customers to bank in any country where UBA is present as they would in their home country.

Internet banking for corporate organisations comes in handy, enabling our customers to transact their businesses without visiting our banking halls. Customers can comfortably make payments, transfer money, purchase forex, make bulk payments and get access to accounts with other banks and statements at their convenience.

UBA Ghana is also one of the pilot banks for PAPSS – an Afreximbank and AfCFTA initiative to promote regional trade across the continent. This is being rolled out in Ghana, Nigeria, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea and Gambia for the first phase of this payment system project.
