Hollard Mentorship Space unveiled

With subsidiaries Hollard Insurance and Hollard Life Assurance, Hollard Ghana has unveiled the Hollard Mentorship Space at the newly launched University of Cape Coast Design Thinking and Innovation Hub. This move kick-starts the Hollard x Academia partnership the insurance group signed with the university to enable students’ post-academic success.

The Hollard Mentoring Space was formally unveiled in the presence of Sir Sam Jonah, Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast and Board Chairman of Hollard Ghana and its subsidiaries after an earlier MoU signing activity.

On the establishment of the Hollard Mentorship Space, Managing Director of Hollard Insurance, Daniel Boi Addo, said the country’s favourite insurance group was proud to commence its Hollard x Academia partnership with UCC by supporting innovation.

He said, “We’re jumpstarting our partnership by supporting UCC foster innovation and design thinking among students. Working with the School of Entrepreneurship and university management, we’ve been amazed at their effort to make education functional and future-ready.

“Therefore, we needed to sponsor a space where students and their mentors could brainstorm and apply innovative thinking. The outdooring of the Hollard Mentorship Space is a testament to our promise to support UCC’s exceptional and sustainable growth”.

Hollard Mentorship Space unveiled

The school is complimentary of Hollard’s support. The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast, Prof. Johnson Nyarko Boampong, at the event, said:

“We are delighted to be part of this partnership. We know our students will benefit from the Hollard x Academia initiative, starting with the Hollard Mentoring Space at our new Design Thinking and Innovation Hub. We are confident that they will receive the right corporate guidance to become efficient corporate and entrepreneurial leaders in the future.”

The comprehensive Hollard X Academia initiative in Ghana will enable a better future for students through Hollard’s Streetwise Finance, mentoring, engagement and resource-sharing programmes.
