ASA Savings and Loans supports Westphalian Children’s Home

The Effiduasi Business Center, of ASA Savings Loans Limited, has donated food items to the Westphalian Children’s Home at Oyokov- Effiduasi, in the Sekyere East District of the Ashanti region.

The Area Manager of ASA, Obeng Alexander, observed that caring for the needy people in the society should be a concern to all particularly everyone in a position to help bring change to society.

Against this background, he said ASA has made it a priority to give back to the community, especially where it operates. It is given this that the items, which were given in support of the upkeep of the children in the home.

The items, which includes bags of rice, bottled water, milo, sugar, cooking oil, drinks, biscuits, milk as well as toiletries among others, according to the Branch Manager for Effiduasi Business Center, Mcjohn Kwarteng, forms part of the corporate social responsibilities of ASA.

He observed that while ASA has made it a part of their operations to support communities in which they operate, community members especially women should endeavour to transact business with them.

This, he noted would contribute to position ASA to offer more help towards the social development and financial wellbeing of the community members.

He entreated the women to benefit from credit facilities offered in support of their trade to always pay on time for others to also get the opportunity to benefit.

Madam Monica Addo, who received the items on behalf of Westphalian Children’s Home, expressed gratitude for the gesture done by ASA Savings and Loans.

She said currently they have about 30 children under their care and asked that corporate organisations and benevolent individuals should periodically assist them to help raise these children to become responsible adults of the society.

She was hopeful that the gesture would be emulated by other organisations within and beyond the Sekyere East District.
