Oligarch Africa Tours, a subsidiary of Oligarch Africa LTD, has officially began operations in Ghana to positively impact the country’s tourism sector.
Registered and incorporated in August 2020, the company seeks to deepen the Ghanaian tourism experience through the organization of both international and local tours for individuals and organisations.
It provides visa acquisition support, airline ticketing, hotel accommodation and car rentals including concierge services.
The inspiration behind the establishment of Oligarch Africa Tours
After travelling for relaxation to Morocco, he realized lots of people genuinely want to travel for various reasons; amongst them are leisure, health, tourism, business and education. The complex and thorough process of getting a visa or travelling documents make it frustrating for people who are interested in travelling and in some cases gets duped by some fake travel agents. The above gave rise to the thought of establishing a travel and tour firm that will ostensibly make local and international travel easy and seamless.
Since the beginning of creation, humans have travelled from far and near, be it for greener pastures, adventure, to experience different cultures or flee from the threat of harm. Travelling is part of us and it is in constant demand. Also, the sense of satisfaction we get from helping people create timeless memories.
Oligarch Africa Tours long-term vision is to be uniquely positioned as the most credible and reliable travel and Tour Company in the Africa Sub-region with satellite offices across the globe.
He intends to change the face of tourism in Ghana saying value addition is key as far as tourism is concerned and that Oligarch’s internal research indicates that there are several tourist sites yet to be discovered and taken advantage of. “We intend to create enough awareness and let investors know about the economic viability of local tourism. Visibility is viability; therefore, Oligarch Africa will make it a priority to sell the brand Ghana in our international tours and bring tourists into Ghana to experience the culture,” he says.
Taking the tourism sector by storm
Although Oligarch Africa Tours is an emerging travel and tour company in Ghana, it had already organized some memorable local and international tours for individuals and companies.
The company in December 2020, sent a group of people on a tour to South Africa. The team of tourists visited over 25 tourist sites in Johannesburg, Pretoria, Rustenburg, and Soweto.
Particular attention was paid to Sandton city, the most expensive city in South Africa and the whole of Africa—which is home to the unique Nelson Mandela Square, a monument which was erected in the memory of the nation’s hero, Nelson Mandela.
The Square is home to over 1,000 retail outlets, a recreation centre and a chain of restaurants with the giant statue of Nelson Mandela greeting visitors at the entrance of the premises.
Other places visited by Oligarch Africa Tours team was the Sandton City Mall, The Mall of Africa, Mandela House & Hector Peterson Memorial, Apartheid Museum and Gold Reef City, Emperor Palace, Suncity, Walter Sisulu National Botanical Gardens, Johannesburg Zoo, Lion and Safari Park, Union Buildings amongst others.
Future Prospect
Speaking to journalists in Accra after the December 2021 tour in South Africa, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Oligarch Africa Tours, John Andrew Richardson, assured patrons that the company aims at exposing them to different cultures and rare lifetime experiences, adding that: “Oligarch Africa help release stress and anxiety by providing avenues for clients to create new memories and experience different cultures…”
Beyond exposing patrons to rare lifetime experiences, the CEO further noted that Oligarch Africa’s entrance into the Ghanaian tourism sector will spur the progress and development of the individuals.
Next trip
Oligarch Africa Tours will on April 14, 2022, make another trip to South Africa’s Cape Town for another interesting experience and is, therefore, encouraging individuals and organizations to take advantage of this and explore Cape Town, the most beautiful city in Africa and one of the best in the world.
