The CEO of the Human Resource (HR) Certification Center, Dr. Jeff Bassey has welcomed candidates of the Global Professional HR Certification Programme with an inaugural lecture at the National Bankers College on Saturday, December 4, 2021.
Each year the HR Certification Centre prepares candidates to sit for the Global Professional HR Certification exams (aPHRi, PHRi & SPHRi). The center has prepared close to 3,000 candidates over the past 11 years with an 82% success rate. The center admits candidates each year on a quarterly basis running both online and in-person classes.
Dr. Bassey in his inaugural lecture stated four reasons why HR practitioners should enroll in the Global Professional HR Certification Programme, the largest HR body in the world. They include studying as a certified HR practitioner sets you apart as a sign of continual development. It earns one respect within the corporate arena; and international HR certification provides professional confidence and technical expertise to advise on key issues.
Others include, in a globalized world, international certification provides one with cross-cultural competence for international engagement; and finally, certifying as an HR practitioner is a demonstration of mastery and commitment to professional ethics and standards.
On Sunday, December 5, 2021, a virtual inaugural lecture was held to cater to candidates who do not live in Accra or are unable to make in-person meetings because of other commitments. Both online and in-person lectures saw over 50 candidates across different industries joining.
Dr. Bassey in his closing remarks encouraged HR practitioners to commit to higher standards. He assured candidates that the HR Certification center was committed to providing them with the necessary professional assistance to ensure their success in the exams.
