As part of activities to climax the month-long celebration of breast cancer awareness, Sonotech Medical and Diagnostics has partnered other institutions to support the Breast Cancer Unit of the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
Together with its partners, Oliver Twist Shack, Airport West Hotel, Tnyou Fitness, Miss Health Ghana, Make Up Ghana, Kora Spa & Adoa TV donated a sum of GH¢10,000 for survivors’ treatment to the Breast Cancer Unit.
The Medical Director of Sonotech, Dr. Grace Buckman indicated that the center has for the last five years embarked on the breast cancer awareness month to create public awareness and help save the lives of those affected by the disease. “It is in light of this that Sonotech together with its partners is supporting the Breast Cancer Unit of the Korle-bu Teaching Hospital to give hope and safe lives,” she said.
She added that in the spirit of saving lives, the Center focused on free breast screening and discounts on breast ultrasound scan and mammogram during the entire month of October at its branches in Osu, Tema and West Hills.
A Surgeon at the Breast Cancer Unit of the Korle-bu Teaching Hospital, Dr. Josephine Nsaful expressed gratitude to the team on behalf of the Hospital.
