Vlisco Ghana Group has announced the appointment of Fatoumata Doro as the new Managing Director of its companies – Tex Styles Ghana Ltd (TSG) and Premium African Textiles Company Ltd (PAT) from 1st September, 2021.
Vlisco Ghana Group with over 700 employees, is the leading textile manufacturer and distributor in Ghana. The Group has 3 brands in its portfolio – GTP, Vlisco, and Woodin.
Fatoumata Doro is the first female Managing Director since the inception of the company in 1966. She took over from Erik van der Staaij who has now been appointed non-executive chairman. She will be reporting to the Group CEO, David Suddens.
Fatoumata has extensive experience across the world with Fast-moving consumer goods companies. She has worked in Dubai, Nigeria, Ghana, and Senegal where she managed multi-brands across different continents. She holds a master’s degree in mathematics and Statistics. Her insights include strong business acumen, sales, and brand-building management. She is a visionary leader and excels in business transformation.
With her worth of experience, Fatoumata is poised to drive the growth of the Group’s brands into global fashion brands.
