Global Accelerex launches two new products targeted at MSMEs

Global Accelerex Ghana, a licenced financial technology firm, has introduced two new payment and business digitalisation products – RexPay and RexRetail – onto the market.

RexPay, an online payment acceptance solution powered by Global Accelerex Ghana, enables micro, small and medium enterprises in the country to accept card and mobile money payments online.

RexRetail, on the other hand, helps small to medium-sized outlets digitise their operations and back-office functions through its easily customisable business management, customer tracking, and integrated payment system for various use cases.

These products are rolled-out with GTBank Ghana as a settlement bank partner. Merchants are instantly settled into their bank account regardless of where it is domiciled.

Expatiating on the two new products, Head of Business Development and Public Relation at Accelerex Ghana, Selassie Tay, said RexPay is for online transactions while RexRetail is for transactions done on point-of-sale devices.

“RexPay targets individuals, micro, small and medium enterprises, corporations and any other organisation with needs of engaging in ecommerce and accepting payment online, while RexRetail is targetted at small and medium enterprises, corporations and any other organisation with needs of managing business operations and accepting payments on a point-of-sale device,” he said.

Sebastian Yalley, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Accelerex Ghana, in justifying the need for the two products added that the paradigm in payment is gradually shifting toward digital and electronic transactions, and that the products aim to further consolidate this for digitalisation of the economy. Over the past decade, mobile money and card payments have been growing rapidly, and businesses that have capability to accept any of these payment instruments are the ones that can reach more customers.

Beyond payments, he said, these solutions help micro, small and medium size enterprises to automate their business management processes; enabling them to focus on what really matters to their growth. MSMEs can also securely collect and track all types of payments – mobile money from all the operators and cards, both local and international; get insight into the performance of their business across various channels; implement reward schemes to drive up customer loyalty and repeat purchase; get real-time transaction reports of sales; and settlement to bank accounts.

He further added that: “RexPay and RexRetail products are solutions we developed from a deep dive into commerce in Ghana. The aim is to help businesses solve their day-to-day operational pain-points around payments and process automation. Any entrepreneur or company interested in growing their customer base and revenue should consider these solutions”.

As a fintech, he said, his outfit places high premium on customer support, which explains why a 24-hour customer service has been put in place to provide excellent services when the need arises.

“We expect these products to democratise access to digital and electronic payment acceptance for every business, and to accelerate our drive toward a cash-lite society. The solution is developed by Ghanaians for Ghanaian businesses with an international outlook,” he noted.
