3 Inveteck Global teams qualify for Arab and Africa Regional CTF 2021

Three teams from Inveteck Global who participated in the just ended Ghana National Cybersecurity Capture the Flag (CTF) competition 2021 were recognized for their outstanding performance organized by Cyber Talent.

The top three team from Inveteck Global that qualified after the competition are Team Inveteck who took first position. The members include Abu Safian Blay, King Richfield Azameti, Raymond Buernor Obu and Emmanuel Kwasi Haizel.



Team Wolfhunters took second position. Members include Stephen Hasford, Eric Sowah Badger, Arnold Kyei-Baffour and Saeed Bala Ahmed. The third position went to Team InveteckLadies. The members include Emmanuella Seyram Zah, Bernice Dulemordzi and Abigail Dede Okley.

Cyber Talents is a platform that ranks cyber security talents according to their real hands-on skills in different cyber security categories by running capture the flag competitions across many countries. This year’s National CTF competition started on the September 11, 2021, with the first batch of countries including Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda participating.

Ghana was part of the second batch of countries with took place on September 18, 2021, with other countries like Morocco, Jordan and Bahrain. In cooperation with Trend Micro, as a strategic partner, Ghana was for the first-time part of this competition where participants demonstrated their technical abilities.

The CTF was a Jeopardy Style CTF where every team had a list of challenges in different categories like Reverse Engineering, Web Security, Digital Forensics, Network Security, Cryptography and others.

14 teams comprising three to four players in each team competed in this competition. The competition lasted for seven hours with the top three teams being selected to represent Ghana at the Arab and Africa Regional Cybersecurity CTF on October 30, 2021.
