The Executive Board of Ghana India Trade Advisory Chamber (GITAC), at its second edition of the Business Xplosion summit, honoured the immediate past Ghana High Commissioner to India, Mike Oquaye Jnr, and two others for their enormous support to the chamber and its operations.
According to the board, the former High Commissioner played a critical role in the Chamber’s formation and in its drive to bring on board investors from India to Ghana, as well as in organisation of the previous and current editions of the Chamber’s flagship event.
The other two distinguished personnel honoured by the Chamber for their immense support were the Chief Executive Officer of Pharmanova Ghana Limited, Dhananjay Thripathi; and CEO of ROC Citizenship, Lisa Mcshine.
The high profile business summit, which took place at the La Beach Hotel in Accra, hosted business executives and dignitaries from both the public and private sectors as well as international business tycoons and investors.
The President of GITAC, Dominic Oduro-Antwi, expressed that management of the Chamber found it appropriate to honour his efforts in the midst of great personalities who graced the event.
Mike Oquaye Jnr has recently been appointed Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Free Zones Authority by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, after previously serving as the nation’s representative to India.
