Voltic Ghana Limited has partnered with Forestry Commission to plant 100 tree seedlings to commemorate the Green Ghana Day initiative of government targeted at planting five million trees across the country.
The exercise carried out by management and employees of Voltic is aimed at saving the depleting forest reserves in the country which is in line with Voltic’s commitment to a circular economy and sustainable development.
Commenting on the Green Ghana project, Country Public Affairs, Communication and Sustainability Manager, Worlasi Seddoh Bedu-Mensah, said: “Voltic will continue to be a force for good in society by championing and supporting initiatives to ensure a sustainable and brighter future for Ghana.”
She added that as a forward-looking beverage manufacturer that believes in sustainable development, it is inspired by the Green Ghana project which will help create sustainable cities and communities and also help improve and preserve the environment as well as strengthen the country’s climate change resilience.
The company carried out its tree planting exercise at its Medie factory in the Amasaman municipality, Akwadum factory in the Eastern region and its Roman Ridge office in Accra.
