This year’s Ghana International Trade Fair exhibition, which marks the 25th edition, is to be hosted virtually, organiser of the event, Ghana Trade Fair Company Limited (GTFC), has announced.

The month-long event is in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade and Industry, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development, Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Association of Ghana Industries, Council for Scientific and Industrial Research and the Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry. It is being held between February 27 and March 28, 2021.

The virtual edition of the exhibition will be hosted on the domain: www.tradefairgh.com.

Themed ‘Developing new trade opportunities through digital channels’, the fair has been structured to advance efforts at improving the value addition policy initiated by government.

Chief Executive Officer-Ghana Trade Fair Company Limited, Dr. Agnes Adu, said the event is being held virtually because of the COVID-19 pandemic and its attendant restrictions on physical gatherings.

She added that over 500 exhibitors, both foreign and local, are expected to participate in this year’s edition.

“The exhibition will have pavilions for businesses from Ghana and several other countries in Africa and beyond, with a potential market for thousands of people to interact virtually. This offers exhibitors and visitors the opportunity to connect and interact in a virtual world,” she said.
