Banks working to close policy, lending rates wide gap – ADB boss

The Managing Director of the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB), Dr. John Kofi Mensah has emerged as the most visible Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in the Ghanaian Banking Industry according to the Institute of Brands Narrative Analysis (IBNA) Media Analysis 2020 survey report.

According to the report in the year 2020, the ADB Managing Director came first followed by the CEOs of CBG, FBN, GCB and Stanbic Bank in that order.

The report which covered media reports in the print, electronic and online from January-December last 2020 put Dr. John Kofi Mensah ahead of the other 22 CEOs in the banking sector.

His visibility in the year 2020, the survey indicated, was largely in relation to the various donations by the bank towards the fight of the novel coronavirus pandemic and other related stories published about the activities of the bank as reported in the media.

According to the survey Agricultural Development Bank emerged as the 4th most visible online bank in the country ahead of Ecobank, CBG, Stanbic Bank, Fidelity, FBN and NIB in the top 10 visible banks in the country.

The survey also revealed that there was no negative publication about the ADB brand but rather enjoyed a positive image projection throughout the year.
