Ghana’s controversial music reality show judge, Mark Okreku Mantey, featured as Guest Judge at the second edition of live stage performances of Hitmaker Season 9.
As the current Chairman for the Creative Arts industry in Ghana, he noted that he was impressed by some of the stage performances, whiles believing strongly that others needed to work more on their stage craft and most importantly, vocal abilities in order to stay through in the competition
Gabinova, performed his own song “Nke Bo Baagbo” produced by DJ Breezy. He said he wrote the song because “mostly, when we get to the altar, we say until death do us apart. So, this is how we can express our love to people through my song”.
He received splendid compliments from the judges which led to his win at the end of the show. He beat Achiaa to become winner for the Pulse Moment. The Pulse Moment award shields contestants from being evicted for the night.
Two contestants were expected to be evicted from the show this week, however, upon various deliberations from Judges Eazzy, Richie and Kaywa, eviction was postponed to next week. This gives contestants and their fans a second chance to help keep them afloat in the competition.
Koby Tuesday, Gyimi and Pashyn came bottom three after last week’s performance which puts them at a very high risk of getting evicted.
Fans and admirers are encouraged to download the MTN Pulse App, follow the prompts and vote for their favourite contestants to stay in the show and get the chance of walking away with the ultimate prize of GHC120,000 cash prize.
