Imperial General Assurance Company Limited, a licenced non-life Insurance Company in Ghana, has paid a Contractors All Risk (CAR) Policy claim of GH¢660,647.50 to China Henan International Cooperation Group, contractor for the Sissai River Drain Extension Project in Kumasi.
Part of the contract work that was fully insured by Imperial General Assurance included construction of drainage, which was damaged during recent flooding in Kumasi following a heavy downpour.
Managing Director (Ag.) of Imperial General Assurance Company, Mr. Robert Wugah, while presenting the cheque to the Managing Director of China Henan International Cooperation Group, stated that the payment is part of about GH¢4million in legitimate claims paid as at the third-quarter 2020.
He also used the occasion to reiterate that Imperial general Assurance is poised to live by its vision “to be noted for excellence in the provision of insurance services in Ghana”. He was accompanied by Reginald Oklah, Head of Sales and Marketing for the company.
Speaking to B&FT further on these over the weekend, Mr. Wugah re-echoed the cardinal objective of an insurance company, which is to pay legitimate claims when they occur. He stressed that Imperial General Assurance has constantly lived by this cardinal objective of paying legitimate claims promptly over the years.
He therefore advised existing customers and prospective ones to visit any of Imperial General Assurance’s offices in Accra (Head Office), Kumasi, Tema, Takoradi, Spintex, Dawhenya and many other Contact/Agency offices all over country for hassle-free insurance needs backed with excellent customer service experiences.
On his part, the Managing Director of China Henan International Cooperation Group, Mr. Chen Qianqian, thanked Imperial General Assurance for its prompt settlement of the claim, which he believes will enable them to go back to site and complete the contract within schedule.
