TECNO launches Camon 16 series

TECNO Mobile Ghana, a premium mobile phone brand from Transsion Holding has unveiled among its Camon series, the Camon 16 Premier and the Camon 16 Pro featuring dancehall artist, Stonebwoy as the brand ambassador.

The new phones come with a 64mp quad wide-angle, depth camera and a 4K high definition videos in IMAX quality.

In an interview with the Training Manager of TECNO Mobile Ghana, Mr. Cyril Amarteifio, he noted that The Camon 16 series come with a smart scanner and a smart scanner translator for language interpretation.



Giving some more specifications, Mr. Cyril Amarteifio said the Camon 16 series is powered by a non-removable Li-Pro 4500 mAh battery, the Camon 16 Premier has a fast charging 33W whereas the8u Camon 16 Pro is 5000mAh with fast charging of 18W.

Priced at GHC1,599, the phones come with 128GB internal memory with two colour variants: glacier silver and ice crystal blue. He noted that it also comes with an HiOS version 7.0. imbibed with a photo compressor that reduces pictures sizes but maintains its quality.

The Training Manager revealed that TECNO will soon launch smart wearables, which include a Smart Watch for temperature checks and an H2 dust-free Hipods.

He said another unique feature is the revolutionary 960 and 120 frame slow-motion video support as well as a high-speed MTK G90T Octa core 2.0GHz processor and AI broken effects.

Mr. Cyril Amarteifio said: “Tecno is known for affordability and there are a lot of competitors on the market selling similar devices at a higher price, and we are selling at just GHS1,599. For a flagship device to go at that price, I believe it is good for an average young Ghanaian.”
