Following the lifting of the Presidential embargo on the organization of Awards ceremonies, the Ghana Premier Business and Finance Excellence Awards Ceremony has now been re-scheduled to take place at the classy Swiss Spirit Alisa Hotel, Accra on Saturday 10th October 2020.

Dr. Ibrahim Mohammed Awal, Minister of Business Development will be the guest of honour at the Awards Dinner.

The  awards  ceremony was originally planned to take place in  April, 2020 but was postponed indefinitely on account of the coronavirus-induced partial lockdown.

The Ghana Premier Business and Finance Excellence Awards Scheme has its origins in the Golden Jubilee Business and Financial Services Excellence Awards which Top Brass Ghana was mandated by the Ghana @ 50 Anniversary National Planning Committee to organise within the context of the Programme of Activities to commemorate 50 years of Ghana’s Independence in 2007.

The Golden Jubilee Award Winners included: ADB Bank Limited; Aluworks Ghana Limited; Anglogold Ashanti Company Limited; Barclays Bank Ghana Limited; Ecobank Ghana Limited; Enterprise Insurance Company Limited; Ghacem

Limited; Ghana Cocoa Board; Ghana Commercial Bank Limited; Graphic Communications Group Limited; Guinness Ghana Breweries Limited; Interplast Limited; Labadi Beach Hotel and Nestle Ghana Limited.

Also among the Award recipients were:  Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research; Pioneer Food Cannery Limited; Social Security and National Insurance Trust; Standard Chartered Bank Limited; State Housing Company Limited; State Insurance Company Limited; Taysec Construction Limited; The Coca-Cola Bottling Ghana Company Limited; Unilever Ghana Limited and Volta River Authority.

At the instance of the Golden Jubilee Award Winners who felt strongly that the Awards ought to be instituted as an annual project, the Awards Scheme was re-designated as the Ghana Business and Financial Services Excellence Awards Scheme the following year, 2008, and has been organised annually since then with the same objective of honouring business and finance houses which are deemed to have made outstanding contributions to the economic development of Ghana.

As we enter 2020, the Ghana Business and Financial Services Excellence Awards Scheme which was instituted in 2008 has been re-branded as the Ghana Premier Business and Finance Excellence Awards and will continue to recognise “la crème de la crème” of Ghanaian business and finance.

According to Mr. Isaac Dakwa, Director of Top Brass Ghana, the Awards Dinner will be organised in strict and absolute compliance with the prevailing Presidential directives on Social Gathering/Distancing and other Safety Protocols.
