Ghana’s covid-19 cases jump to 8070

As at Sunday, the 31st of May, 2020, Ghana has recorded 8070 positive cases of Coronavirus.

Out of this number, there are 2947 recoveries so far, with 36 deaths.

The President disclosed these updated numbers during his 10th address to the nation on the covid-19 pandemic and how the country is dealing with the situation.

In all, the country has also so far, conducted 218,425 tests of the virus.

Meanwhile, the President in his address also noted that, over all, hospitalisation and death rates in the country remain relatively low, adding it is the lowest in Africa and the world.

“The Ghanaian people are not dying of the virus in the hundreds and thousands that were earlier anticipated, and that are being seen on a daily basis in some other country.”

President Nana Akufo-Addo however advised Ghanaians to continue observing hygienic and other measures to control the spread of the virus.
