“The handwashing is a basic preventive measure against spread of COVID-19, and we believe that by this donation, and in collaboration with Cocobod, we are able to support the wellbeing and safety of cocoa farmers and their families, who are very important partners of Barry Callebaut,” Mrs. Sackitey said.

“In Barry Callbaut, we have a saying that ‘no cocoa, no chocolate’; without cocoa farmers, we would not have chocolate production. This tells us how important the cocoa farmer and cocoa communities are for the value chain in which we operate. So, we are very much in touch with cocoa farmers and the cocoa communities as well,” she added.
