Hasman Technical Services gives to Noguchi for COVID-19

Hasman Technical Services Limited (HTSL), a Ghanaian-owned company providing world-class technical services to the Power Generation and Oil and Gas sectors, today presented a cheque for GH¢100,000 to the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research (NMIMR).

The donation is to support the institute to enhance its testing activities in Ghana’s fight to manage the Covid-19 pandemic. Since Ghana recorded its first case of COVID-19, NMIMR – Ghana’s leading biomedical research institute – has been the receiving point for testing samples from health institutions in the country and the sub-region.

The cheque was presented by Managing Director of Hasman, Mr.  William Andoh Wood, and was received by the Director of the Institute, Prof. Abraham Kwabena Annan.

Hasman Technical Services Limited (HTSL) has been in operation for the past 6 years and has been delivering world-class services in new unit construction and installation, project planning, operation and maintenance, and facilitating project commissiond among others for clients.

Presenting the cheque, Mr. Wood said the company considered the critical and sensitive role the institute is playing in the fight to manage and control the pandemic, which prompted the decision to support the institute in continuing its service to the country and to humanity

“Your team at the institute put your lives at risk, considering the highly contagious nature of COVID-19, to support the country in managing this disease, and we commend your effort,” he said.

He said Hasman is a home-grown company that cares for the communities in which it operates. “Our company remains committed to caring for our communities, and also delivering quality services for the benefit of our clients’ businesses to impact Ghana’s economy and its development.”

While wishing the institute well in its endeavours, he appealed for society to abide by the directives outlined by government and health professionals to help control the pandemic for a return of the country’s social and economic life.

Professor Annan on his part thanked Hasman Company for the donation, and said such support from companies confirms that society appreciates their work and will encourage them to do more for society.
