Christians and gospel music lovers in Ghana were, on Holy Saturday, thrilled to scenes of glorious ministration from the Harvest Gospel Choir, stellar award nominee Minister Anthony Brown and the Group Therapy during this year’s edition of the Harvest Praise concert.
Dubbed the ‘Bigger, Better, Greater’ edition, the annual event which took place at the Fantasy Dome at Trade Fair in Accra embraced ministrations also from Nigerian Prolific songwriter, violinist and Music Producer, Victoria Orenze.
Other performers were Ghanaian musician Yaw Sarpong, who moved audience to some of his tunes, Kofi Owusu Dua Anto (KODA) as well as Rev Edwin Dadson.
Also present to entertain the audience was the Harvest International Ministries’ campus choir.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Harvest Praise concert. According to President of the Harvest Praise International Ministries, Rev. Fritzgerald Odonkor, the ministry is deeply grateful to God for seeing them through 20 years of successful gospel concerts.
He said: “A seemingly insignificant seed sown in faith 20years ago out of a vision of bringing families together around the real significance and meaning of Easter has today become one of the foremost Christian gatherings at Easter time in Ghana. We can only be thankful to our heavenly father for all he has done over the years; saving souls, healing diseases, restoring family ties and indeed refreshing the body of Christ with the message of the season against the background of excellent worship music and drama.”
On her part, Chairperson of the Group, Gloria Folson noted in line with Isaiah 54:2 that: “We have enlarged the place of our tent and spared not and we know that we will spread abroad on the left and right. We will possess the nations and make desolate cities to be inhabited. We are gaining ground for Jesus! This is indeed our ‘Bigger, Better, Greater’ edition.”
