The General Manager in charge of Retail Banking of HFC Bank, Paula Baldwin has been recognised as the Most Outstanding Female Personality in Retail Banking in Ghana during the Feminine Ghana Achievements awards held at La Palm Beach Hotel. The Awards organized by The Business Executive, is in recognition of her immense contribution and impact in transforming the Retail Banking business of HFC Bank over the last three years.
In the brief Citation, which said; – “Ms. Baldwin Under Your Leadership, HFC Bank has completed its expansion from being a primarily mortgage focus institution into one of the most capable and reputed retail banks in Ghana. You have successfully supervised the major upgrade of the Bank’s retail banking products and services offering”.
Paula is seen by many of her colleagues as a customer focused business professional. She has over 35 years of Retail Banking experience and has mentored many young bankers who are now holding various key positions within the Republic Financial Holdings Limited. Her key strengths include; strong leadership, organisational and planning skills, creative, innovative, analytical problem solving capabilities and an ability to bring out the best in people. Seen as a thorough planner, Ms. Baldwin is self-driven and able to manage multiple priorities on a timely basis.
Commenting on her recognition, Paula attributed her leadership skills to the training and opportunities Republic Bank Limited gave her throughout her career. “I can confidently say that Republic Bank is the employer that believes in its people and provides them with opportunities to grow” she added. She also expressed her excitement of HFC’s imminent rebranding and the opportunities that will come along for the Staff and Customers of HFC Bank.
Paula Baldwin has been attached to HFC Bank since October, 2015. She is responsible for the Retail Banking Department and also oversees three (3) other departments namely; Marketing and Communications, Mortgages and Central Clearings Operations.
