Over one thousand customers of oil marketing giant GOIL within the Offinso area of the Ashanti Region have been rewarded for their loyalty to the company.

They received various items including pieces of textile, T-shirts and other items to protect themselves against COVID-19 among others.

The Upper Middle Belt Zone of GOIL rewarded the customers as part of its ‘GOIL Gye Wo Mfaso’ awards for its customers within the zone. The zone comprises the Bono, Bono East, Ahafo, Western North Regions and the Offinso area of the Ashanti Region. In all, there are 53 GOIL service stations within the zone.

Officials of the Upper Middle Zone, led by the Territory Executive – Madam Margaret Ennin, visited the various service stations in the Offinso area and surprised customers with the items. Madam Ennin told the B&FT that customers of the company deserve such rewards occasionally because they have remained very faithful to the company over the years.

“This token is to show our appreciation to our cherished customers and assure them that we will continue to provide them with quality products to enhance the performance of their vehicles,” she said

Madam Ennin also used the opportunity to educate customers about the convenience of using the GOIL GO Card to pay for all services at the various service stations, explaining that the innovation enables customers to buy products at the company’s filling stations without the use of physical cash; and therefore advised drivers and transport owners to apply for the GO Cards.

Madam Ennin said the GO Card also allows users to monitor their transactions on weekly and monthly basis, and has security features which protect their transactions – adding that the company will continue to explore other innovative ways of enabling it to continue providing better services for its customers.

Touching on the outbreak of coronavirus, she stated that the presentation of protective items to customers within the zone was to enable them to protect themselves against the virus. She entreated GOIL customers and the public at large to adhere to all safety protocols so as to curtail spread of the virus.

A customer who was rewarded by the company at the Danase GOIL No 2 Service Station, Kwabena Yeboah, commended GOIL for providing its customers with quality products in the right quantities.

“I commend GOIL for recognising its customers,” he stated, adding that “this will encourage us to continue patronising their services”.
