There is growing uncertainty within Ghana’s fisheries sector over the lingering validity of a European Union (EU) yellow card, which has been in force over the last five years since 2021.
Ghana is part of some sixteen national governments from across Africa, Asia, the Caribbean, Europe and the Pacific to adopt the Mombasa Declaration at the 11th Our Ocean Conference, committing to advance global fisheries transparency and strengthen efforts aimed at combatting illegal, unreported and unregulated (IUU) fishing.
