AI may look like software, but its foundations are physical, such as land, electricity, fibre, cooling, capital and skills. For Ghana, the real opportunity may lie in learning to supply what the AI economy cannot function without.

Ghana’s decision to reopen its mission in Mexico creates an opportunity to move the relationship beyond diplomacy to encompass investment, industry, trade, and market access at a continental level.

Companies today are seeking “China-Plus-One” strategies. Keep some production in China, yes, but also build alternative bases in politically stable, cost-competitive regions.
