LUEX Healthcare has been adjudged Multinational Company of the Year at the Ghana Pharma Awards 2021.
The award recognised LUEX’s outstanding contribution to development of the Pharmaceutical Industry in Ghana and the continent.
Over the past 3 decades LUEX has become a trusted name across the Medical Fraternity in Ghana, with over 100 key brands across all major therapeutic categories. The company has equally strengthened its OTC range (over the counter), which has led to LUEX becoming a household name nationwide with brands like LUEX Cough Syrup (Cough and Cold Solutions for the entire family), Diclolex Power Heat Gel (Pain relief gel), Wormbat (A broad spectrum dewormer) and DUOMAL (Anti-Malarial for the whole family).
LUEX has also undertaken trials and studies on some key ethical products, which have seen them being a pioneer in this area whereas most other multinational companies send in studies conducted abroad.
Undertaking trials in developing countries like Ghana are a bit more complex, but this research could be a solution to the high rates of early mortality and explains the success of LUEX – whch based on a recent market survey has 2 brands in the top-5 of the most prescribed in the country for Mixed Infections. Their product ‘MYCOLEX Cream and Powder’ was also recently endorsed by the Ghana Society of Dermatology as the Antifungal Agent of choice.

LUEX will this year commence manufacturing some of its Liquids and Ointments here in Ghana to ensure affordability and accessibility for all in the years to come.
