Toyota Ghana Company Limited has ventured into the used car dealership market with the official launch of its automark brand last in Tema.
The Automark brand, which is the first of its kind in the country and the 12th in Africa, is a platform provided by the company to offer Toyota owners in the country the opportunity to either sell their existing vehicles or make a top up and drive away a brand-new Toyota vehicle or possibly purchase a used one at a very discounted rate.
According to the Managing Director of Toyota Ghana Company Limited, Kohji Yanaka, the new service is to satisfy the aspirations of Toyota lovers in the country.
The launch of Automark trade model is also an initiative which falls in line with the auto maker’s vision to introduce a new business unit in its operations that meets all income brackets.
Mr. Yanaka explained Automark is a certified pre-owned vehicle business segment in Pan-Africa developed by Toyota for its dealership with the objective to ensure that customers receive convenience and transparency when they buy or sell their used vehicles.
The Automark trade model, which is currently operating in 11 African countries including South Africa, Mauritius, Kenya, Cote D’ Ivoire and Mali, comes in two-fold.
“Our pre-owned vehicles sales are in two folds. The first design one is a buy back option, where we give you cash for your used vehicle purchase from Toyota Ghana Company Limited. The second option is the trade-in offer where a customer returns his old vehicle with a minimum top up after evaluation for a new one right from the showroom. The good news for these options for our customers is that we do not consider mileage and age limit as conditions for the vehicles you return to us.
As an automobile company, with the aspirations to satisfy the transport needs of all income brackets, Toyota Ghana Company Limited is committed to support a segment of the market with limited budget for new vehicles. It is in line with this vision that Toyota Ghana Company Limited has taken the initiative to introduce a new business unit operation under the trade name Automark,” Mr. Kohji Yanaka said.
He said the company is well positioned to take the used car market to the highest level of customer satisfaction as they have done with their new vehicle sales.
He urged all and sundry to take advantage of the Automark scheme, adding that, purchasing a used car is certified and covered by a one-year warranty.
