Yinson Production Ghana has reaffirmed its commitment to educational development by sponsoring the 4th Annual Yinson Reading and Spelling Bee Competition in the Ahanta West Municipality.

The competition, held under the theme “A Reader Today, A Leader Tomorrow,” saw thirty-five students from twenty-seven schools compete in the finals after progressing through circuit-level rounds.

Winners at the junior high school level were awarded full senior high school scholarships funded by Yinson, along with tablets containing digital reading materials. Younger participants received learning kits, novels, and plaques, while all students received books to encourage reading beyond the classroom.

Yinson Production Ghana’s Local Content and CSR Manager, Mr. Edward Mensah, noted that the initiative supports the company’s mission to promote effective learning through strategic partnerships such as with the Ghana Education Service.

In addition to the competition, Yinson Production also donated a new set of books to the Kejebril Library, which the company built in 2021. The donation forms part of Yinson’s annual CSR efforts to enrich the educational experience in its host communities.

Community leaders including Nana Eziaku IV of Agona and Nana Angamatsia VI of Kejabil commended the company’s consistent contribution to education and literacy in the region.

Educational authorities and school heads echoed their appreciation, stating that Yinson Production’s interventions are making a measurable impact on students’ academic performance and motivation.
